BOSTON Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival

Note: Dragon boat racing for cancer survivors began in 1996 with one breast cancer team in Canada and has since expanded to include survivors of all types of cancers in hundreds of teams all over the world.  The Wellness Warriors, Boston's only all-cancer survivor club, will host four other cancer survivor teams for the Boston Dragon Boat Festival: Paradise City Dragons, and Springfield Dragon Rays.  All will join together for the Flower Ceremony, a special part of dragon boat festivals that commemorates their shared journeys and those of other cancer survivors who cannot participate.  Please join us for this special event at noon on the Weeks Footbridge.
